Safety under the bureau.  Star is not exactly comfortable with the real world yet, although she is trying.  She eats a lions share and comes out to play at night, she is her own exploration party.  She is a serious little girl.

A Star is Born

This is Star.  Just got her from the local shelter.  She looks somewhat unkempt and afterall she has had a rough start, she was born ferrel and saved by Pasco animal services.  Florida has a large population of ferrel kitties due to the mild weather being sustainable to cats.  Star is not your average kittie, she is not a Maru, or any other kittie that is famous or outgoing.  Star prefers to stay under the bureau and only comes out to use her box and eat---at least she is trained in those areas.  She is scared but very sweet.  At first, I did not know what to make of her as she hides and scratches.  But I think there is hope and will be patient.  The spot at the end of her nose is actually her coloring.  She is part tiger, part calico.

Off to taco school.  No, just kidding.  This is the Taco Bus serving up an amazingly delicious mexican fare.  Located on the corner of Hillsborough Ave and Floribraska, this is a hole in the wall restaurant that cannot be passed up.  All food is made fresh daily and being soooo crowded, I mean fresh.  Think that the establishment was featured in DDD's (Diners Drive Ins Dives).  When in Tampa do as the Tampaites do, go to Taco Bus.

Hello to all this on 2013 President's week.  I have President Lincoln on my mind as I wathced a documentary on his assasination narrated by Tom Hanks.  The presentation made me realize what a pivotal role President Lincoln played in moving forward our great nation.  He unified people, hence the above photo which is of Ybor City in the Tampa area of Florida.  As you will notice is mimics New Orleans, and there are parades there, one known as the Gasparrila night parade---a good time will be had by all.  I mainly want to comment that this city unified the cuban population that migrated here in the early 1900's to find political freedom.  If ever in Tampa, please visit this city which also features one of the oldest cable car lines.

This is a great restaurant, there is one in South Tampa and St. Pete.  It features tapas, which I call individual servings---you order a variety to complete your meal.  Last night, 2/14, was quite hectic, lots of people out on the road.  The continual news of the economy makes me wonder if there is or ever was a downturn, as there was none to be seen last night.  Restaurant was filled to capacity and people were in great spirts, happy that is.
